Do I need to leave when buyers come to see my house?
“Do I need to leave when buyers come to see my house” is the next in my series of videos for Albuquerque home sellers.
In this video I explain why it’s in your best interest to leave your home when it’s being shown.
“Do you need to leave when buyers come to look at your house? Absolutely.
It’s really in your best interests you’re going to have a better showing and here’s why: it’s hard enough for strangers to walk into somebody else’s home, see all their personal things and be objective about it. And if the seller sticks around, whether it’s inside the house or maybe even just sitting out on the back patio, the buyers just feel that much more uncomfortable. They’ll rush through the showing, they might even say things that are polite if the seller is within earshot but inaccurate. It makes my job a little more confusing too if I don’t know those buyers really well, I’ll be like ‘really, you like those bright orange cabinets, you do huh?’
So it’s really in your best interest to leave when you are going to have a showing, it’s going to result in better showings overall.”
