I’ve just discovered the coolest new site called Scoop.it. Here’s the exact URL: Scoop.it. You don’t even need the “www” anymore, you know, and there is no .com at the end either. It doesn’t even look like a valid web address does it???
But it is!
Scoop.it is a content curation site. ‘Content’ as in web content, including but not limited to blog posts, and ‘curation’ as in a collection of articles, blog posts, misc pieces of information pertaining to Albuquerque Real Estate (yep, that was a link to my scoop.it page for Albuquerque Real Estate, please click on it!).
Those of you who read me know that I create content in several places. I have several WordPress Blogs, plus I am still fairly active on ActiveRain.com, the ultimate real estate blogging platform. Well, my scoop.it page is the one place that pulls all of my content that relates to Albuquerque real estate into one place.
But it’s not all about me, I have set up my Scoop.it page to pull other relevant articles and posts about Albuquerque news and commercial real estate too. My plan is to add some content almost every day, so if you go there today and don’t see much, check back in a few days.
Social media is exploding with sites like this. Digg and Delicious are dead, too cumbersome for the average internet user to use and understand. Stumbleupon is outdated. Sites like Pinterest and Scoop.it and way easier to use and way easier to understand. Plus they are much better looking too! I think Facebook, which really was the first widely accepted website that anybody could use, is to thank for paving the way when it comes to the ease of use of these sites, but that’s just my humble opinion!
So consider starting your own scoop.it for your favorite topic. In the meantime, please stop on by and check it out, it’s Scoop.it/Albuquerque-real-estate.
