It’s 10:30 at night, I just finished paperwork for two transactions and now it’s time for the late-night bullets.
Here are the day 29 bullets:
- I’m starting to panic. Business is getting really crazy, especially for January. I’m trying to get several houses on the market, keep the paperwork going for three escrows and keep in contact with several buyers who have been out there looking for homes. I think this means 2015 is going to be a good year.
- The panic is about the Crazy Albuquerque Real Estate Blog-a-Thon. This is post 90, which means I need 9 more posts in 2 days to meet my goal. I’ll be staying up late again tonight. Once I publish the last post I’ll be taking my wife to Marble Brewery and celebrating. It may be very late on Saturday night before we get there.
- I have a new listing, and it’s a pocket listing in the truest sense of the word. It’s not going on the MLS until March 1st, but I’ll be marketing it starting tomorrow. On a true pocket listing, the listing agent has the exclusive listing, meaning if anybody wants to buy it they have to go through me. Or, if they want to use their own agent they’ll have to pay them out of their own pocket. I’m doing this at the seller’s request – they think I can sell the property by advertising on my website AlbuquerqueRealEstatePlace.com and Craig’s List, and they’re giving me the exclusive listing at a reduced rate. Normally I would have said no way, we need to have this house on the MLS, but this is a total remodel in a popular part of town and with lots of signage I at be able to get it done. We will see.
- Other the last 24 hours or so I’ve published two market reports, Far Northeast Heights Real Estate Report and Foothills North Real Estate Report. I’ll be knocking one or two more of these tonight before bed. Which means I’ve got to run!
