June 2013 was another good month for real estate sales in the Albuquerque Metro Area. Homes sales remained strong in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho while news was mixed for the outlying areas.
These are the homes sales that have been reported so far, more sales will be reported over the coming days. My report compares home sales in June 2013 as compared to June 2012.
Home Sales Stats Across the Albuquerque Metro
Homes Sales in Albuquerque
REO sales were down 9% and Short Sales were up 17% while attached home sales more than doubled.
House Sales in Rio Rancho
Home sales in Rio Rancho, which have been lagging behind Albuquerque until earlier this year, were up again sharply again last month, up 44%.
REO or bank owned home sales increased from 16 to 60, an amazing 275% increase. Closed short sale transactions were down 14%.
Sales in the Outlying Areas
Home sales were up sharply in Placitas and Los Lunas while sales in Corrales were flat. Sales in the East Mountains were down about 10%.
