An old friend of mine from the early days of my real estate career asked me this question the other day: Blogger Rich Cederberg, where have you been?
I laughed and told them I’ve been traveling all over the state of New Mexico teaching continuing education classes for Mesa Real Estate Institute and various real estate associations. It’s a big part of what I do now.
They asked how I could possibly have time to do that and sell houses too, and I told them I couldn’t possibly do it without help from my two friends and administrative assistants, Lila and Brenda.
The truth is I’ve been spending more time teaching other Realtors around the state instead of selling because the need for instructors is great. Hopefully this will be changing in the near future as other new real estate instructors come forth.
This is the reason I have let this site go dormant for nearly a year. It’s just a lack of time leftover to write things of interest to home buyers and sellers. Those market reports I used to do on a monthly basis that so many people liked? Well, I used to say they were really easy to do, but the truth is that the research it took to write those posts was time-consuming.
I’m still with eXp Realty, the Agent-Owned Cloud Brokerage that’s growing rapidly across the nation. It’s been a wild ride watching the company grow from 400 agents to somewhere over 17,000 agents!
I’m prouder than ever to say I was one of the first, and I’m reaping the benefits on almost a daily basis, because eXp Realty and the revenue share program is whole reason I’ve been able to launch the real estate education business.
I can’t promise I’m going to bring those market reports back, but I can tell you this – I will be posting and sharing items here more regularly over the next few months than I have over the last year, mainly because I miss the craft of writing. The skill it takes to put into words what you want to say is something that has helped me selling homes and in the classroom too.
I may be a little rusty, so please forgive me!
